CBRE celebrates 10 years of success in Middle East

DUBAI, February 10, 2015

CBRE, the global real estate consultancy firm, marked its 10th anniversary in the region with the opening of Huna Al Emarat: 2005 – 2015, a group art exhibition reflecting the evolution of the UAE during the past decade.

Supporting the local arts scene, the exhibition features works across a range of media including painting, photography, sculpture and video by a diverse collection of locally-based artists.

CBRE, a global business of more than 50,000 employees, has provided real estate consultancy across the Middle East since 2005, and participated in close to 1,000 transactions in its 10 years in the region, servicing more than 500 clients across the region.

Commenting on the occasion, Nick Maclean, the managing director of CBRE Middle East, said: "We are extremely proud of our achievements in the Middle East and we are delighted to be involved in this exhibition as a way to pay tribute to the dynamism and imagination of the region."

Huna Al Emarat, he stated, was one of the few exhibitions in the region to showcase works predominately from Emirati artists and designers.

“A decade ago, we were tasked to develop a platform that would service the requirements of CBRE’s international and local client bases. We have expanded our offerings significantly serving some of the most high profile multi-nationals and family businesses in the region. Last year, especially, was a busy and fruitful year for our business, with each of our departments expanding their headcount and revenue,” he added.

Simon Coates, the general manager of Ductac (Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre), said: "It’s been a privilege to work with CBRE on a project that supports the grassroots artists, photographers and designers based in the UAE. CBRE really understands and appreciates the global nature of this part of the world and have been actively involved in the realisation of the Huna Al Emarat exhibition from start to end."

To celebrate this growth, CBRE also unveiled the winner of its 10th anniversary logo competition - design collective Caravan. The winning logo is also displayed at the Huna Al Emarat exhibition.

Commenting on CBRE’s growth plans, Maclean said: "As the global economy improves, we will continue to benefit from the strength of our global corporate services business, which provides a range of support in respect of corporate occupational footprint."

"We also see a trend developing amongst corporates to expand the usual Middle East parameters to include the geographies of the Indian subcontinent and the continent of Africa to create a super-regional operating envelope. Clearly, these represent exciting times for our business," he stated.

Across the Middle East, CBRE’s highly experienced management team offers a full range of professional real estate services, including valuation; tenant and landlord agency; research and consultancy; property management; building consultancy and project management; facilities management; and global corporate services.-TradeArabia News Service
