Tatweer .... unveils big plans for Saudi education sector.

Saudi Arabia to build over 3,000 schools in five years

JEDDAH, December 28, 2014

Tatweer, a Saudi holding company specialising in education, has announced plans to construct 3,200 schools and other educational facilities over the next five years, said a report.

Unveiling the elaborate plans, Tatweer said a total of 1,700 sports halls and 1,500 kindergartens will also be built under the King Abdullah Project to Develop Public Education, reported the Arab News.

Tatweer held a series of meetings with Education Minister Prince Khalid Al Faisal to discuss the project’s scope and its guidelines, the report stated.

With this initiative, 346,000 pupils across the country will stand to benefit besides 35,000 teachers and supervisors, it added.
