Emaar, Dubai Holding to build world's tallest twin towers

DUBAI, October 27, 2014

Dubai’s top developer Emaar has joined hands with Dubai Holding, a global investment company, to launch their first luxury residential development in Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons, which will boast the tallest twin towers in the world.

The Dubai Twin Towers, an iconic mixed-use development at Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons, will define a new skyline for the city, said the Dubai-based developer.

A master-planned city for tomorrow’s families, with novel technology, integrated transportation systems, environmentally sustainable ecosystems and green open parks, Dubai Creek Harbour is spread over a land area of six million sq m and is twice the size of Downtown Dubai.

It is an ambitious city of the future, located as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid City (MBR City). The unmatched serenity of waterfront living along the historic Dubai Creek and spectacular vistas of the city’s glistening skyline differentiate the newest residential property, it added.

Speaking at the launch, Emaar Properties chairman Mohamed Alabbar said: "Dubai Creek Residence Tower is part of a six-tower cluster within the island district of Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons. Directly set by the tranquil waters of the Dubai Creek, the 40-storey development offers luxury apartments on the waterfront."

It comprises a sophisticated structure and simple composition that resonates well with the elegance of the towers. The towers are anchored to a podium which provides the appropriate backdrop to the vibrant, marina lifestyle, stated Alabbar.

Drawing design inspiration from its surroundings, the homes at Dubai Creek Residence bring a new aesthetic dimension and feature premium finishes and superior lifestyle amenities. This lifestyle development is anchored by a bespoke luxury hospitality offering and a yacht club, noted Alabbar.

At about 900 to over 2,150 sq ft, the one-, two- and three-bedroom residences are spaciously laid out with the orientation and architectural features carefully planned to maximise natural light and fantastic views, he added.

Unveiling the masterplan of  of Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons, Alabbar said: "The Dubai Creek is the cradle of our heritage and the lifeline that steered the emirate’s growth. Dubai Creek Residences takes residents to the very source of Dubai’s history and provides them a modern, luxurious, living environment."

"The project is a true tribute to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to create a dynamic city of the future that integrates smart networks, while building on the cultural heritage of our city," he remarked.

Ahmad bin Byat, the CEO of Dubai Holding, said: "The project marks the spirit of partnership that Dubai fosters whereby Dubai Holding and Emaar are sharing their synergies and building on their core competencies to create another iconic project that will be the pride of the city."

"With the Dubai Creek Residences, the first project in the mega Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons development, we are bringing a lifestyle choice that is unprecedented in the city," he added.

Only minutes away from the Ras Al Khor Bird Sanctuary, a thriving mangrove ecosystem and the abode of migratory birds and flamingoes, Dubai Creek Harbour presents a marina and harbour lifestyle like none other in the heart of the city with a focus on conserving nature and also building on the natural flora and fauna.

With a dedicated retail precinct and pedestrian walkways, the fully integrated community brings a new aspirational lifestyle.

Dubai Creek Harbour will also feature cultural amenities, educational facilities, healthcare centres and a wide range of leisure choices. All the key components of this world-class development are designed as inter-connected districts, around waterfronts and green boulevards.

The sweeping waterfront of the project lined by retail, commercial and residential zones will be built around various central parks, said the statement from Emaar.

Encircled by yacht clubs, pools, a world-class marina, retail podium and a boulevard glowing with activity, Dubai Creek Residences will become the new marina lifestyle and urban habitat of Dubai.

The launch of the residences will be held on a first-come first-served basis on November 1 at four locations: Emaar Pavilion on Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (UAE), in London (UK) at Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane and in Moscow (Russia) at Ritz-Carlton, Moscow, it stated.

Emaar said it is also offering long-term investors and end-users the opportunity to register for the Emaar Preferred Access programme at its website.

Investors who make a down payment of 30 per cent of the total value of the property and maintain ownership until hand-over is completed will be offered preferred access and the opportunity to own homes, subject to conditions, through this new customer-oriented initiative, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
