Durrat Marina to showcase key project at Cityscape Dubai

MANAMA, September 19, 2014

The southern tip of Bahrain is fast becoming a significant destination, both for residents and visitors to Bahrain, a leading developer has said.

Durrat Marina, in a statement, said it is showcasing its marina lifestyle offering at Cityscape Global from September 21 to 23 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

At the event, Durrat Marina intends to exhibit alongside Durrat Al Bahrain, collaboratively underlining growing investor confidence and the overall expansion in real estate investment and development within the kingdom and regionally.

The two developments are closely related and have enjoyed a mutually beneficial long-term relationship.

Durrat Marina will showcase progress on the first phase of its overall development, including construction of villas and residential apartments.

It will also showcase the marina promenade, which will host an array of cafes and retail outlets, and will enable the creation of a "downtown" arena for both Durrat Al Bahrain and Durrat Marina residents.

Furthermore, the Durrat Marina team will be taking interest on plots of land available for investment and development.

"Cityscape has a 13-year history of supporting local, regional, and international companies to gain exposure within the Middle East," Durrat Marina chief executive Waleed Saffy said.

"Through our participation, we not only indicate our support to the sector at a regional level, but also reiterate our contribution to our local economy and to supporting growth sectors such as tourism, leisure, and retail through our integrated development.

"The first phase of our residential area in terms of villas has already sold out, and progress on construction is nearing completion.

"We have now begun design work for the second phase of private villas, which have already been met with considerable interest.

"Additionally, the first phase of the project's marina, which hosts more than 95 berths, is also operational.

"We cap off our residential area with the development of a dedicated retail zone, which runs along the marina promenade," he said.

"The retail area has received an overwhelming response from potential investors though it remains within the soft sales stage," he added. - TradeArabia News Service
