Turkish architect to show off Crystal Towers

DUBAI, September 17, 2014

Tabanlıoğlu Architects, a leading Turkish house of architecture and design, will be back this year at Cityscape Global with its new project, "The Crystal Towers" at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) in Dubai, UAE.

The Middle East's largest property showcase, Cityscape Global will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 21 to 23.  

Tabanlıoğlu, a company renowned for its innovative designs, said the Crystal Towers is part of its GCC expansion strategy.

The project, which boasts of key residential and hotel units, a shopping mall, restaurants, a beach club, a gym and a modern mosque, is under construction.

Commenting on its participation, Melkan Gursel Tabanlioglu, Tabanlioglu Architects partner, said: "Once again we are delighted to be part of Cityscape Dubai. Our architectural approach is always focused on being in harmony with the place and creating places for people to appreciate."

"We are enthusiastic to share our experience and knowledge in our field of expertise and we endeavour to collaborate with regional counterparts on contemporary architectural developments," he stated.

Coinciding with their 10th year participation in Cityscape, the Turkish group will be presenting its monograph; "Tabanlioglu Architects: Transparency and Modernity" written by Suha Ozkan, with essays by Philip Jodidio and Luis Fernandez-Galiano.  

The book covers selected recent designs and both local and international projects of Tabanlioglu Architects which includes residential, cultural and mixed-use complex, said a statement from the company .

Compiled and published by Rizzoli New York, following its introduction in Venice during the 14th International Architecture Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia, the first comprehensive volume will be offered for sale internationally, in September, simultaneously with the Dubai launch, it added.

Tabanlıoğlu also announced the opening of its office in Qatar, where they are also involved in a cultural project. This follows the launch of its Dubai office last year.-TradeArabia News Service
