Nakheel invites bids for Palm Tower project

DUBAI, September 8, 2014

Nakheel, a leading developer in the region, has invited tenders for the construction of a 52-storey mixed-use hotel which will be built over a 3,748-sq-m site at The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE.

The Palm Tower will boast of a five-star, 290-room hotel with an array of dining, business and leisure facilities, including conference rooms, a business centre, a rooftop restaurant, viewing tower and an infinity pool – all of which are available to people living in the Palm Tower Residences.

The mixed-use development, which will consist of three basement levels, a ground level, three podium levels, will occupy a footprint of 1,772 sq m and have a built-up area of 95,595 sq m.

It will also have 502 furnished services apartments - a mixture of serviced, fully-furnished studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments - with panoramic views of The Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline, said a statement from the company.

Part of the new Nakheel Mall and Hotel complex, the project is due for completion in 2016. Once ready, the hotel rooms will occupy the first 18 floors of the tower, it added.

The Palm Tower will be Nakheel’s flagship hotel, under the company’s expansion into the hospitality and leisure sector. The last date for submitting the bids is November 2.-TradeArabia News Service
