Limitless awards Dubai project contract

DUBAI, September 8, 2014

Master developer Limitless has awarded a Dh19.5-million ($5.3 million) contract to Dar Al Handasah for infrastructure design and supervision services at its 200-hectare mixed-use community in Downtown Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE.

Limitless’ flagship master community, Downtown Jebel Ali, has more than 300 third party plots, on which investors will build a mixture of apartments, office, retail developments and hotels. It is spread over four zones that, combined, stretch 11 km along Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road.

As per the contract, Dar Al-Handasah will review and enhance the existing infrastructure design and also oversee infrastructure construction, which will be out to tender by the end of the year.

With the infrastructure in zone 1 already complete, Dar Al-Handasah’s scope of work covers zones 2, 3 and 4, said the Dubai government-owned property firm.

Located between Jebel Ali Free Zone and Techno Park, Downtown Jebel Ali is easily accessible from Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Zone 1 can also be reached by the Dubai Metro, via Jebel Ali Station.

Limitless has already delivered The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali, a fully operational, rapidly expanding business and retail community in zone 1. It features hi-tech office facilities and retail outlets, with residential units coming up soon, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
