Abu Dhabi TDIC invites bids for big hotel project

Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) has invited pre-qualification bids for a major hotel development project in the UAE capital.

The new 3-4 star hotel project will be coming up on a sprawling 110,000 sq m area at Sir Bani Yas island, which boasts of private airport access, port/marina facilities and an Arabian Wildlife Park.

Under this single contract, TDIC will give the project land on lease to the winning bidder for a period of 30 years for developing the 3-4 star hotel.

The Abu Dhabi firm, which set the minimum bid bond at Dh1 million ($272,196), said the offer will be open only to UAE-registered companies.

The other criteria for interested companies include recent experience on similar projects and their successful delivery and also their demonstration of relationships with internationally-recognised hotel operator.

The deadline for submission of the Pre-Qualification document is June 9.-TradeArabia News Service
