RAK Ceramics unveils mobile website
Ras Al Khaimah, January 16, 2013
RAK Ceramics, a leading ceramic manufacturing company in the region, has introduced its mobile website, designed for handheld and touch-screen interfaces as part of its global digital marketing strategy.
The company enjoys a viewership of over 150,000 visitors a month on its regular online portal as it attracts visitors from its customers spread across over 160 countries where RAK Ceramics products are distributed, a statement from the company said.
Abdulla Mahmood, general manager, marketing & corporate communication, RAK Ceramics, said: “More and more, people have turned to smartphones and androids as their mobile of choice – which means more customers are opening web pages on these devices.”
“The problem with a conventional website on a smaller display is that it is unpractical, and we pride ourselves on being the complete opposite, which in turn gave rise to our new mobile website.”
The new application consists of browser-based HTML pages that are linked together and accessed over the Internet, either WiFi or 3G and 4G networks. What is consistent is the same great content – images, text and videos – that allows customers to browse through RAK Ceramic’s eclectic range with over 8,000 designs to choose from, while further acquainting themselves with the company, the statement said.
On display will be the company’s various lines like ceramics, GP Tiles, specialty tiles, eco-friendly tiles, bathware along with the iDesign Tool, latest news, corporate social responsibility activities and exhibitions, along with other elements of interest.
“RAK Ceramic’s vision to keep customers at the forefront of every development, which is why it was important for us to be able to assist clients by showcasing our products, best sellers and ever evolving new designs. The idea behind the mobile website is better access, exposure and mobility; we are confident that we achieved just that for our patrons,” Mahmood said.
This new development joins the introduction of the iPad version of the touch screen application, RAK’s iDesign Tool is available for download on App Store applications that was launched last year to an overwhelming response, bringing RAK Ceramics’ portfolio of choice to user’s fingertips, the statement said.
The application allows customers to design their own living area using RAK Ceramics products and have customised interior design ready within few minutes. – TradeArabia News Service
