New industrial city planned in Bahrain

A new industrial city is coming up in the Southern Governorate of Bahrain, as increasing number of workshops and garages in residential areas has become a cause of pollution, said a top official.
Garages in the city will have an area between 600 sq m and 8,400 sq m and mechanical and electrical workshops between 473 sq m and 1,762 sq m, said Services and development programmes director Ali Al Ansari Al Khazraji
Carpentry and blacksmithing workshops will have areas between 582 sq m and 5,013 sq m.
The project also features feature mosques, shops, housing for about 20,000 workers and their families, a security centre and a garden. – TradeArabia News Service
