Wave project receives first title deeds

Muscat, May 5, 2009

The Wave, Muscat, a fully master planned community,  has received its first three title deeds for properties at the project by Oman’s Ministry of Housing, Land Registry Department.

These title deeds provide evidence of ownership of the properties and the land upon which they are built, and allows expatriate owners to move forward and apply for resident visas for themselves and their relatives of first degree.

“This is a momentous achievement for The Wave, Muscat as we welcome these homeowners to this new community,” said Eng Sultan bin Hamdoon Al Harthi, president of Muscat Municipality, chairman of the board of directors at The Wave, Muscat.

“The issuance of these title deeds reinforces the credibility of the project and would not have been possible without the continuous support of the concerned Government authorities to whom we give our thanks and appreciation.”

Nick Smith, CEO, The Wave, Muscat said: “This is an exciting leap forward in the life of the project and will give our stakeholders and investors renewed confidence. We are committed to working with both the Government and our homeowners in order to fulfill the promise of delivering real homes for real people in a multi-cultural beachside community offering a unique living experience for all.”

“The successful registration of these properties will help us to understand the process and will enable us to continue working closely with Ministry of Housing to issue the Title Deeds for all the homes at The Wave, Muscat,” Smith added.

The population of The Wave, Muscat continues to grow with properties being handed over to home owners every day, and families are moving into their new homes nearly every week.

The Wave, Muscat is a fully master planned community overlooking the Gulf Of Oman occupying a total area of 2.5 million sq mt alongside 6 km of natural beach.

Once complete, it will be home to 4,000 dwelling owners from all nationalities, a signature 18 hole green Golf Course designed by the legendary Greg Norman, 300 berth Marina, three luxury hotels, villas, retail and restaurant outlets. – TradeArabia News Service
