OCI to raise $307m via bond issue

Cairo, May 5, 2010

The board of Egypt's Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) approved the issuance of 5-year bonds worth EGP1.7 billion ($307 million) to fund acquisitions, the firm said on Wednesday.

The firm, in a statement published by the stock exchange, said it would call for an extraordinary shareholder meeting to approve the issuance, without giving a date.-Reuters
