Bahraini female employees play vital role in Ebdaa bank ops

MANAMA, December 1, 2020

Ebdaa bank for Microfinancing – Bahrain, revealed that the percentage of female employees in the bank has reached about 60 per cent, while some female employees occupy senior leadership positions, including a branch manager, a financial credit manager, and a loan manager. 
 
The bank confirmed that the efficiency of Bahraini women is apparent in various departments and divisions in light of the full implementation of the principle of gender equality.
 
In a report on the occasion of the Bahraini Women's Day, Ebdaa bank confirmed that Bahraini women have proven their leadership in the region in all fields, and have been able to contribute effectively to the desired national development process. The bank congratulated Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President on this occasion, stressing that SCW is one of the fruits of the pioneering reform project, initiated by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, to promote women’s rights and engage them in national development.
 
Her Excellency Mona Yousuf Khalil Almoayyed, Chairman of Ebdaa bank, hailed the extraordinary efforts exerted by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, for the advancement of Bahraini women in various fields, activating their energies, raising their contribution to the development and prosperity of their country, and reaching the highest positions in all fields, including the diplomatic work in which Bahraini women have proven their ability to represent Bahrain efficiently, and have reached senior positions in many international organisations.
 
“Ebdaa bank is keen to provide special support for Bahraini women, whether by attracting talented women and giving them job opportunities and promoting them or by providing financial products that support projects implemented by Bahraini women, due to the significant role of women in family stability and the development of the national economy,” Almoayyed added.
 
CEO of Ebdaa Bank, Dr. Khaled Al Ghazzawi, affirmed that Bahraini women enjoy an integrated support system thanks to the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women headed by Her Royal Highness, Wife of HM the King, may God protect her. He said: “Through our work in Ebdaa bank with women as an employee and beneficiary of loans, we confirm that Bahraini women deserve to advance in their professional and career paths and launch their projects, whether inside or outside their homes.”
 
Dr. Ghazzawi added: “Ebdaa Bank is proud that Youssef Al-Moayad is the chairperson of the board of directors, who is a Bahraini woman, and regional pioneer in the field of business and social contribution, while Samar Agaibi is a board member. Ebdaa Bank has a proven track record in the field of supporting women, as the bank won the “Best Women Empowerment” Award at the level of GCC states, and the launch of “SAYDATI Loan“ for women, in addition to working with other partners, especially the Supreme Council for Women, to provide funding and guidance for Bahraini women’s projects.” - TradeArabia News Service
