ADX, DFM pay out $11.7bn dividends in 2019

ABU DHABI, September 18, 2020

Companies listed on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and Dubai Financial market (DFM) have paid out  AED43.13 billion ($ 11.74 billion) in cash dividends for 2019, a report said.
 
The dividends were paid to more than 700,000 investors, according to data released by the two bourses.
 
Figures released by the ADX indicate that AED22.5 billion was distributed for the last fiscal year by companies listed on the bourse, while around AED20.63 billion was disbursed by the DFM companies.
 
Banks are the largest distributors of profits, followed by the telecommunications and the realty sectors respectively, then come the companies working in the investment, financing, energy, medical services, insurance, hospitality, transport and logistics platforms.
