Ebdaa Bank chairman in Forbes ‘most powerful’ list

Mona Yousuf Khalil Almoayyed, chairman of Ebdaa bank for Micro financing – Bahrain, has been awarded first-rank in Bahrain and ninth place in the world in the Forbes list of the 100 most powerful businesswomen in the Middle East.
Nasser Al-Qahtani, vice-chairman of the Bank and executive director of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFND), hailed the achievements of Mona Almoayyed and topping the Forbes list again, pointing out that it is a Bahraini and Gulf role model for women who are successful in their work, and who are able to shoulder responsibilities and ensure the sustainability and development of the work and achieve the best results.
Al-Qahtani highlighted that these successes confirm Arab women are capable of creativity whenever they are given confidence and a proper place, which indicates the prudent selection of AGFUND to Al-Moayed to lead the Board of Directors of the Ebdaa Bank in Bahrain, making effective efforts in formulating the bank’s policy and strategy and ensuring its stability and growth within the AGFUND banking system for financial inclusion, and interpretation of the vision of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God have mercy on him - founder of AGFUND "with the support and endorsement of their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries" and the owner of financial inclusion banks initiative to support women and integrate them into the development process.
Al-Qahtani stressed out that the continuity of Almoayyed’s distinction in her position is a strong catalyst for the continuation of “AGFUND” in its program for empowering women, and making way for her in AGFUND banks to be more creative in creating products that contribute to solving social and economic problems and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
Dr Khaled Al-Ghazzawi, chief executive officer of Ebdaa Bank, confirmed that the continuation of Al-Moayed to top Forbes list of the strongest Arab women enhances the enthusiasm of the bank’s executive staff to develop performance and raise productivity levels in line with the directives and aspirations of the Board of Directors and achieve the strategic goals of the bank.
