Qatar Development Bank’s (QDB) export programme ‘Tasdeer’ participated in the recent Complast Vietnam 2018 exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, as part of a special pavilion that brought together 14 Qatari companies in the plastics and rubber sector.

The bank's participation in this important international exhibition comes in the framework of promoting Qatari products and introducing them to regional and international markets, said a statement.

The exhibition, an international trade fair for the plastics processing industry, was held from January 10 to 12, it said.

Complast is considered one of the international exhibitions specialised in the plastics industry, serving as a platform for attracting companies and brands from all over the world and opening up business opportunities for companies and factories in this important industrial sector, it added.

The companies that have participated in the Complast Vietnam exhibition were Bin Aman Plastic Industries, Behzad Plastic Products; Al Naqeeb Plastic Factory; Doha Plastic; Almuftah Fiberglass Products; Twyla Recycling; Qatar Integrated Plastic bags; United factory for preform and packaging; Al-Haya Plastic Factory; Sarplast Qatar; Alkhaleej Plastic Industries; Al Rayyan Plastic Factory; Qatar Rubber Industries; and Al- Sada Factory for plastic pipes, said a statement.

The Qatari companies and factories taking part in the exhibition have shown remarkable presence and active participation, attracting a large number of visitors and those who have shown their admiration for the growth and development of the plastics industry in Qatar, it said.

Abdul Aziz Bin Nasser Al Khalifa, chief executive officer of QDB, said: “Qatari companies and factories working in the plastics and rubber industries have made significant strides in their production’s progress.”

“Having proven their efficiency in the local and regional market, they are now launching themselves globally through the Complast Vietnam international exhibition, which brings together companies from all over the world to showcase their latest products and technologies in the plastics industry, as well as to share experiences and expertise,” he said.

Abdul Aziz continued: “At QDB, we have played an active and important role in this international exhibition, through our ‘Tasdeer’ programme, where we provided assistance to companies and factories to achieve their goals and aspirations by allowing them to interact with the world's leading firms in this vital sector.”

“This is very important as it opens for Qatari companies a new window to international markets, enabling them to export their products to these markets and contribute to the diversification of the Qatari economy, which is one of the main objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
