Oil price plunge ‘an opportunity’ in Gulf

MANAMA, February 23, 2016

Harsh climates, growing populations and untapped private sectors are major challenges facing Gulf states as they try to diversify their economies, while the GCC could overcome these issues as the drop in oil prices make it an opportune time to create more energy saving economies and reduce emissions to tackle climate change, according to an expert at a workshop in Bahrain recently, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
