BENEFIT, in co-ordination with Central Bank of Bahrain and all commercial banks, has launched the Electronic Fund Transfer System (EFTS) operation in Bahrain. The system took effect today (November 5) and allows banks to conduct various financial transfers and payments from different channels of communication either through branches, Internet banking, or mobile banking, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
