Barwa Bank appoints new CCO

DOHA, August 15, 2015

Barwa Bank, a Shari’ah compliant services provider in Qatar, has promoted Talal Ahmad Al Khaja to the role of chief communications officer (CCO).

In his new role, Al Khaja will be tasked with overseeing the bank’s marketing and communications, as well as public and shareholder relations in line with the bank’s evolution and development, said a statement from the bank.

Prior to joining Barwa Bank in 2009, Al Khaja had worked across a wide swath of private sector institutions and organisations.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Management, a Bachelor’s degree from Qatar University, as well as numerous professional certifications, he has amassed over nine years of experience in administration, marketing, public relations and corporate governance.

Throughout his tenure at Barwa Bank, Al Khaja has made sizeable contributions to acquisitions of the group’s affiliate companies, as well as to subscription management in capital financing in 2011.

His efforts have poured into the establishment of the group’s investor and shareholder relations department, demonstrating unique ability to weather business challenges and lead with proactive value-added initiatives.
