National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has become the lead empowerment sponsor for the Central Bank of Bahrain and Supreme Council for Women joint campaign to celebrate and promote the role of “Women in the Financial and Banking Sector”.

It is being held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and Supreme Council for Women president, said a repair tin the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

A series of events are planned, including a number of roundtable and town hall sessions that will bring industry leaders and women of all levels within the sector together to discuss and debate topics of importance

These sessions will lead up to the main “Women in the Financial and Banking Sector Conference” to be held on November 30 at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.

NBB director and chief executive Abdul Razak Al Qassim said he believed the initiative would not only encourage more women to look at careers in financial services but also go a long way towards opening up new opportunities to emerging female students.
