Middle East Payment Services hosts employee retreat

AMMAN, December 30, 2014

Middle East Payment Services (MEPS), a leading, innovative payment services provider in the Levant, organised a three-day employee retreat at the Crowne Plaza Dead Sea.

The event was attended by 80 MEPS employees, as well as the company’s chairman Dr Abdul Malik Jaber.

The annual retreat was geared towards instilling a sense of belonging, enhancing team spirit and promoting positive communication among MEPS employees outside the workplace, said a statement.

The retreat focused on MEPS’ overall strategy for the upcoming year, which is aimed at expanding its operations throughout the region, in addition to providing technologically advanced electronic payment services and products.

The participating employees from across various departments also shared ideas and suggestions on how to further enhance the company’s standing as the most secure and innovative payment service provider in both Jordan and the region.

The retreat shed light onto the programmes and projects MEPS is scheduled to launch next year, all of which seek to provide customers with all-new technologies and services.

MEPS strives to retain its leading position at the helm of the electronic payments industry through the provision of unique, cutting-edge services and programmes that are currently unavailable to regional markets.

The company also aims to enhance its operations to encompass additional markets, with the support of an extensive partner and shareholder network that comprises major banks operating in Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan and Palestine, among other countries.

The retreat featured multiple group activities and competitions in which the employees took part amidst a fun and interactive environment.

“Our employees are at the core of our operations and are an integral part of our success. As such, organising this retreat every year allows us to come together as a family to discuss our direction for the upcoming phase,” said Dr Jaber.

“Furthermore, such functions are a great way of keeping our employees abreast of the Company’s latest updates and developments, and are an ideal opportunity for us to recognise their unwavering commitment to helping us maintain our pioneering standing on both the local and regional fronts,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
