Partners and sponsors at the networking kick-off dinner

Bahrain kick-starts Global Entrepreneurship Week

MANAMA, November 20, 2014

Tenmou, Bahrain’s first ‘Business Angels’ organisation, in strategic partnership with the Economic Development Board, kick-started the celebrations of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014 at a networking dinner reception which was held at the Awal Ballroom, Gulf Hotel, recently.

Sami Jalal, chairman of Tenmou, officially inaugurated the GEW 2014 and Hasan Haider, chief executive officer highlighted the significance of building and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem around the world and in particular, Bahrain.

“We are proud to be the organisers of 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Week and position Bahrain as one among the 150 countries celebrating this global event. At Tenmou, our strategic objective is to inspire, support and nurture the budding entrepreneurs and events such as GEW provide an excellent platform to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting with potential collaborators, mentors and even investors,” said Jalal.

“We are grateful to all our strategic partners for extending their support to bolster the next generation of enterprising talent to help them pursue their dreams and further strengthen Bahrain’s entrepreneurial ecosystems,” he said.

Throughout the GEW week, which will conclude on November 23, a series of Signature Events are taking place including workshops and mentorship sessions which will help participants to learn a step-by-step process in the setting up successful businesses.

This year, more than 100 budding entrepreneurs have signed up for the sessions. The partners or these events include Tamkeen, KPMG Fakhro, 4spots, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, Bahrain Polytechnic and Bahrain Women’s Society

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a worldwide movement of entrepreneurial people, stimulating the economy by unleashing their enterprising talents and turning their ideas into reality.

It aims to inspire the next generation of future potential entrepreneurs and business leaders by engaging, connecting, mentoring, building and developing their confidence and ambitions through a series of activities hosted by partner organisations.  - TradeArabia News Service
