Lifeline for small businesses in Bahrain

Manama, August 18, 2014

Owners of small businesses in Bahrain will be able to benefit from social insurance.

They will also now be included by the General Organisation of Social Insurance (Gosi), the Cabinet was told yesterday (August 17), said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

A special account will be allocated to all owners of small businesses who earn between BD200 ($527) and BD2,000.

The earnings must not drop by more than five per cent in any subsequent years, the session heard. - TradeArabia News Service
