Burgan rolls out new leadership program

Kuwait-based Burgan Bank has announced the launch of the ‘Driven from Within’ – the certified Leadership program for the bank’s middle-managers and supervisors in collaboration with the American University of Kuwait.

The 56 hours leadership development program caters to 38 Burgan Bank mid-level managers and supervisors, said the bank in a statement.

The ‘Driven from Within’ Leadership opening ceremony featured vital discussions on leadership with Group CEO Eduardo Eguren, private banking unit head Hameed Abdullah, as well as AUK’s president Prof Dr Nizar Hamzeh.

The  discussion was a reflection on leadership and its required set of skills to better lead, support, and inspire teams to achieve business goals and harness customers’ satisfaction, it stated.
 
Halah El Sherbini, the group chief human resources and development officer said: "Human Capital is our most valued asset; we truly believe that it is our responsibility to build a culture that accelerates the build-up of tomorrow’s leaders."

"We at Burgan Bank do not spare any efforts in investing on our people through targeted and planned training and development programs," he added.
