Strategy development leaders to meet in Dubai

Dubai, April 9, 2014

Leaders in strategy development are set to meet in Dubai to discuss strategic growth in Middle East markets at a forum next week.

The Strategy Leaders Forum, which will run from April 13 to 17 at the Address Hotel Dubai Marina, will address formulating, implementing and executing competitive organisational growth strategies.

It will discuss the need for Middle Eastern companies to tailor strategic plans specifically for the region, rather than implementing growth strategies based on Western market dynamics and trends.

Prof Richard Rumelt, professor of business and society at UCLA Anderson and author of ‘Good Strategy/Bad Strategy’ will teach regional government and business leaders about how to formulate competitive strategies for sustainable growth.

He will focus on ‘kernel concept’ for strategy development, the ’14 rules for good growth’ as well as believe the business can exploit market conditions through innovative thinking to create new opportunities and build competitive advantage within individual markets.

Bernard Marr, a leader in strategic organisational performance management, will share his five key steps for organisations to transform the way they manage their performance. He will look at how companies like Google, Wal-Mart, Shell, as well as leading government organisations apply these steps to ensure they stay on track and make the best-informed decisions.

Dr Robert Kaplan will deliver his ‘Balanced Scorecard Masterclass,’ the essential course explaining the performance management system that helps business leaders clarify their corporate vision and align people, business units, and resources with a unified strategy. - TradeArabia News Service
