Financial experts head to Bahrain for key summit

More than 400 delegates, including industry experts and professionals, will be in Bahrain this week for the 'Euromoney GCC Financial Forum.'
The event, being co-hosted by Bahrain's Economic Development Board, kicks off on Tuesday (March 4) at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa.
Billed as one of the kingdom's most important networking events, the two-day 'Euromoney GCC Financial Forum' is expected to see the highest-ever international participation, with delegates from the UK, US and the Middle East region being represented
Offering a platform for strong thought-leadership and economic discussion in the region, the agenda discusses local themes and key sectors in the kingdom relevant to the wider region, such as real estate, housing, SMEs and hydrocarbons.
Euromoney's Richard Banks will be speaking at a panel session discussing strategic private and government partnerships relating to infrastructure, case study reviews and the development of capital market products for housing and real estate finance.
He will be joined by high-profile experts in the field.
A second session, dedicated to developing, encouraging and financing new companies will follow with Tamkeen chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa along with Bahrain Development Bank deputy general manager of non-financial services division Shaikh Hesham bin Mohamed Al Khalifa and Bahrain Bourse deputy director Shaikh Khalifa Ebrahim Al Khalifa.
The event will conclude with a session on hydrocarbons, and a presentation and question and answer session with nogaholding chief executive Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
